In 1973, the Tripper was a radical design produced by an unconventional thermo-forming process that was tested by repeated tosses from the factory roof, broadside collisions with bridge abutments and in Class IV whitewater.

Over twenty years later, the design is considered standard-setting, our quality checks include a tough regimen of accelerated weathering and automated impact test equipment, and more than ever, the Tripper can be counted on in challenging waters the world over.

The 17-foot Tripper is what wilderness canoeing is all about. A high volume hull with deep-V entry that paddles easily with a heavy load. A shallow arch design with exceptional stability that handles whitewater with ease. A forgiving canoe that makes whitewater an adventure every paddler can enjoy. Regarded by many as the best tandem whitewater canoe available.

The Tripper is trimmed with black vinyl gunwales with aluminum inserts and has polyethylene decks with grab handles, polyethylene contoured seats and ash carrying yoke and thwart.

Options: Cane seats or Wood trim. Wood trim includes cane seats, ash gunwales and grab handles, brass end caps and ash carrying yoke and thwart.
