For casual canoeists, the affordable Discovery 164 is a tough, popularly-sized, all-purpose canoe. Experienced racers and whitewater enthusiasts will also feel the unmistakable influence of our Penobscot series, with the straight-ahead speed, glide, and handling ease that have earned a string of national championships.

Paddled tandem or solo, the Discovery 164 features a sharp entry to split waves and undercut tough headwinds, a rounded bottom for agility and excellent secondary stability, and a carrying capacity that handles the unexplored wilderness as easily as a family day trip.

Standard features include dark stained cane seats, black anodized aluminum gunwales, polyethylene decks with grab handles, dark stained carrying yoke and thwarts. Options include vinyl trim with polyethylene decks and center cane seat with either trim package.
